Acupuncture

Acupuncture has been practiced in East Asia for over 2000 years and involves the insertion of fine sterile needles in to specific points in the body in order facilitating the free flow of energy and restore health and maintain wellbeing. Other techniques such as massage, cupping and moxibustion are used.

Many different styles of acupuncture exist and Simon Plant uses his extensive knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine theory and clinical skills to select the appropriate techniques for each individual. Simon uses traditional acupuncture needling combined with myofascial trigger point techniques to great effect.

Simon makes extensive use of palpation skills including traditional pulse taking, tongue and abdominal diagnosis to focus on the root cause of each problem. This ensures that a minimum number of needles are used with pain free insertion.

Simon adheres to the British Acupuncture Council’s criteria for ethics and professional standards.

Please contact Simon if you would like to discuss if acupuncture is appropriate for you.
